OuroPoster

Context

Custom software for the retailer who has to produce promotional flyers and price posters every week. It is work that exists in any shop and almost never has spare staff to do it.

Challenge

Laying out a promo poster by hand is pure repetition. Same layout, different product and price. It eats hours from someone who should be selling, and when the deadline tightens the piece comes out crooked: wrong price, broken alignment, logo slapped on anyhow.

Automating that means solving two problems at once, layout and operation. Whoever uses it is not a designer.

Solution

The promise fits in one line: paste the list, get the PDF. The retailer drops in the products and receives print-ready material, with the layout resolved by rules instead of mouse-dragging. That is what guarantees the hundredth piece comes out as aligned as the first.

Because it is a delivered product and not a recurring service, I built a licensing system alongside it, running on a server separate from the client. The software validates its own licence and keeps standing without maintenance from me.
